you are not dancing, LIFE IS DANCING you!

hi there. my name is atmo lars and i am inviting you to take part in my musical and dancing journey.
i do call this special production “rest in peace”. the focus was not to produce music for the sake of just creating something nice or beautiful. my intention was more to calling on all my experiences until today in the field of music, movement and meditation, to set up an energy field where you have space to experience your own beauty, stiffness, stretchable body and invite all emotions that are part of us if we allow them to freely flow.

my foremost hope is that you give yourself time to breathe, move, stretch, roll on the floor, jump, be sloppy, be articulate, play with rhythm, shake and many more expressions plus see if unexpected energy’s wants to come through when you discover yourself with my music. preferably several times even before thinking about what you hear and jumped into.

my background reaches back to playing bigband dance music, being part of an reggae music horn section, TM-meditation, several years with less bodily action except being a frequent lap-swimmer, osho dynamic & kundalini-fan and since 26 years a dancer of the 5Rhythms®, which i facilitate since 2004.

-the rest in peace project is presented in two options:

a/ a complete run-through without any breaks (track 1 - 4)
b/ all music as single tracks (track 5 - 21)

included are front cover art plus inspiratory artwork from shivananda. his task was to grasp the energy of the tracks titles and create something analogue/parallel with picture, his art expression.

finally, if you are interested, if you follow the below link, there are several videos that reflect upon the making of the music, earlier live music pursuits/events and a few short vides which grasp the energy fields created when we come together to dance. the older videos are a dedication to all beautiful people who have been part of “my” dancing tribe for the last 26 years.
